Bird Watch Ireland

Bird Watch Ireland did a survey of the island and lagoon area and surrounding fairways on 4th of January 2023 and sent this report:

High tide bird count at Raffeen Creek GC last week on a quiet day for golf, 12 Brent geese, c40 Redshank, c60 Oystercatcher, c75 Back-t godwit, 1 Greenshank, 7 Littel Grebe. One Oystercatcher had colour rings from Iceland but could no get a clear view of the code. Two Godwits with rings.
